When we hear people talk about this, a lot of the time we hear people going for the safety of the middle ground, the safety of compromise, of mutual agreement. We hear people going for “both, and…”

But the and, rarely comes.

The meaningful dialogue rarely ensues.

In many ways, “both, and…” has become a full-stop on meaningful discussion, and, dare I say, its time to change that.
